représentation à saint-gilles, 2004
Bichromatic offset poster printed in 500 copies, business cards and Web Site. Project presented in the framework of the Midi public art event in the Saint-Gilles Commune of Brussels.

After a self-promotional poster campaign in Saint-Gilles (Brussels) and the distribution of business cards, I set up appointments with the residents, who showed me an aspect of their daily surroundings with which they identified. I was able to discover Saint-Gilles through the experience of those who lived there, which allowed me to make a synthetic yet representative portrait of the place on my Web Site.

chez vous / chez nous / chez vous, 2004
Photographic work in various formats and video capture put online on the Internet after a creation and diffusion residency at Recyclart in Brussels, Belgium.

Recyclart granted a former boutique to me for this project. This location was taken into account in the creation of my residency project. My aim was to make the most of the visibility offered by the shop window displays and its urban location to incite the visits and participation of the public. The people of Brussels were invited to enter my layout of the space and to spend various moments of their daily life in my company while discovering my recent video production (Studio domestique).
the winter sidewalk partol, 2004
Flash animation created for the 11th issue of La petite enveloppe urbaine with the theme “Science fiction as social commentary”. Presented during the inaugural exhibition at the Space Gallery in Pittsburgh and the Skol Centre des Arts Actuels in Montreal.

I was concerned by the condition of the city streets after they became iced over and caused people to fall. Faced with the lack of a response from municipal authorities, I decided to take action… With an outmoded look evoking the 1960s and a minimum of means and technical support, this short film shows my attempt to help pedestrians overcome the extreme winter conditions.
studio domestique, 2002
Series of 9 single-channel videos of varying lengths. Intermède 01 was shown in the Vidéo Naïve event, at the Oratory Chapel of the Museum of Fine Arts in Nantes and at the Rouje Gallery in Quebec City.

This series of videos was created for a video capture exercise set over a predetermined period of time. My only company was my video camera, so I documented my daily routine in my personal environment. In order to create public interest in these images, I retouched and reworked them like interludes or fill-ins, a media transition format placed in a domestic context.
sur la présentation visuelle, 2000
1/ Offset postcard, 1,000 copies and 2/ poster, digital print. Project presented in the Printemps Plein Temps exhibition, UQAM Gallery, Montreal, Canada. After the exhibition, the cards were placed in various advertising displays in Montreal and Quebec City.

The Printemps Plein Temps collective exhibition aimed to give visibility to emerging artists in a professional distribution framework. I created a project with exactly this in mind: 1,000 self-promotional postcards printed with the phrase “entretenez les relations” (“make contacts”) offered free in a stand near the entry of the gallery and a poster displayed in the exhibition room. The relationship between the two elements of the project triggered a reflection on the contexts of visual and promotional presentation.
